When administering changes to your monitoring system dashboard it is a significant benefit if the process is smooth, easy and quick. Time spent making multiple changes across a large number of monitors one at a time is an annoying time consumer and keeps you from doing something else in your busy day. Today’s Monitis dashboard release will enable bulk changes to both the period to be monitored and the view you desire. These bulk change options will aid you in collecting data over multiple monitors in the same period and view when you are trouble shooting or maybe some post trouble research. These new bulk features will also be of value in saving time when you are setting up many monitors because you can administer the bulk period and views since the default for each monitor added is set to “today and linear”.
If you have a need to see all your dashboard monitors over a specific period (today, 24 hours, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month, specific date) you can now accomplish this in a few easy steps. Simply go to the period bulk change icon on the sidebar and select the period you want to see displayed and you are done. Simple, easy and quick!
*Be aware that if you want to revert back after a bulk change you will need to do this manually for each monitor.
The same bulk change option can also be accomplished if you desire to change all of your monitors view (linear versus table). The process is exactly the same as the one above in that all you need to do is simply go to the view bulk change icon on the sidebar and then select the view you desire, linear of table. Again simple, easy and quick!
